The Global Pathways Institute convened the 2016 Southwest Pathways Conference to promote promising solutions to our region’s failure to prepare huge numbers of youth for economic success.  The Southwest Pathways Conference supports an ongoing regional movement to increase the percentage of young people who are prepared to lead successful lives as adults, and thus contribute to the growth of the region. The conference hosted 144 prominent speakers and 500 attendees from 28 states and two Canadian provinces. Leaders from business and industry, education, government, and the non-profit sector learned about innovative strategies for strengthening career pathways systems and increasing the importance of career development.
